Well, I've been gone for a couple of years. For those of you who don't know me that well, which I doubt isn't many of you, I've been in Brazil for the last two years. It was an amazing experience and if anyone wants to hear about it, shoot me an email.
But it's officially time for me to get reacquainted with the wide world of sports again, as ABC so lovingly calls it. After being completely removed from the hardwood, yard, and gridiron (along with the pitch and many other notable sports playing fields), I'll be doing my research and spilling my guts on what I think about the exciting world that we call sports.
I just want to give a quick rant about the NBA revival which we are all eagerly anticipating the day after Santa hits the chimneys. Look, as a sports lover I'm glad that things got resolved in the NBA lockout because that means that we get to watch more sports. But something that I've always been annoyed about when it comes to the NBA is how much money these guys make. The guys make insane amounts of money to play an 82-game season. I've admired baseball more in that regard because these guys play double, play longer, and make sometimes LESS than these ballers do on the hardwood. It's all about respect. Maybe that's why I enjoy college basketball more; at least those guys aren't involved in Sprite commercials or Adidas ads. I know a lot of you are die hard basketball fans so don't take this personally. Don't get me wrong either, because I like the NBA. I just think it's no longer the NBA that I knew when I used to park it in our 1976 green suede recliner to watch the NBA on NBC from 1990-1996. That basketball world unfortunately doesn't exist anymore.
So on that note, have a Merry Christmas watching your favorite NBA squad take it to the arena. Here's your lineups.
